Sell CS2 skins for USDT
USDT (Tether) is the stablecoin most active CS2 traders cash out to. The reason is simple: it is pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, so you do not have to watch your payout shrink because Bitcoin moved 5% in the wrong direction during the transfer. For frequent sellers, USDT is the closest thing to receiving USD that the crypto rails offer.
This guide walks through USDT TRC20 and ERC20 cashouts: which network to choose, fees, speed, and where to send the funds. Check today's best deals →
TRC20 vs ERC20 — which network should you pick?
- TRC20 runs on the Tron blockchain. Network fees are pennies. Confirmation time is under a minute. This is the default choice for most cashouts.
- ERC20 runs on Ethereum. Network fees are much higher — often $5-20 depending on congestion. Use ERC20 only if your destination wallet/exchange does not support TRC20.
- Always double-check the network when sending. Sending TRC20 USDT to an ERC20 address (or vice versa) usually means losing the funds permanently.
The cashout flow
On the withdraw page, select USDT and your preferred network. Paste your USDT address from your exchange or wallet. Confirm the amount. Funds typically arrive within 1-5 minutes on TRC20 and 5-15 minutes on ERC20.
Most major exchanges (Binance, Bybit, OKX, Kraken) support both networks. Some smaller wallets only support one — check first.
Tax and reporting considerations
USDT is a digital asset under most tax codes. Receiving it in exchange for skins is treated as disposing of one asset and acquiring another. Whether that triggers tax depends on your jurisdiction and the amount.
If you plan to convert USDT to fiat regularly, keep records of each receipt — most exchanges export this automatically.
